GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:
This is an intermediate-level position that exists to support the Orenco's global customers and the International Sales team. The International Sales Representative International serves global distributors and customers by providing technical & sales support, order processing, tracking of orders/quotes, suggesting information about Orenco products and services, and documenting customer feedback on products and services. This position owns all aspects of the order process to ensure order fulfillment, prepares correspondence and fulfills customer needs to ensure customer satisfaction. The International Sales Representative International will be a central point of contact for the International team and must be familiar with all aspects of the team, including willing to assist with Account Management, logistical/freight related tasks, payment / collections, general project follow-up, leads & inquiries, and post-sales support/documentation. The ability to communicate in a foreign language (Spanish preferably) is highly desired.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & KRA:
Safety
- Conducts all work in a safe manner and promotes safe work practices to all associates and clients.
Selling
- Increases sales and improves the overall customer experience by providing value-add product recommendations.
- Educates external stakeholders.
- Learns and demonstrates effective use of Integrity Selling.
- Grows our contact database of key external stakeholders to ensure they are receiving regular communication from Orenco.
- Communicate price increases & new price lists to the sales network and track accordingly.
- Executes sales initiatives within the territory focused on customer retention and acquisition.
Leading
- Demonstrates leadership within the sales department and within the organization daily.
- Participates in all meetings and contributes ideas and opinions.
- Improves methods for internal and customer-facing processes.
- Volunteers and participates in team, department, and organizational initiatives.
- Coordinates with various departments within Orenco as necessary regarding team initiatives and objectives.
- Sets and strives to complete annual personal development goals.
Planning
- Participates in creation and implementation of regional/territory strategic sales plans.
Customer Service Support
- Assists customers in determining their needs and offering appropriate solutions related to Orenco wastewater equipment.
- Troubleshoots and assists end users in resolving problems involving system installation, repair, and maintenance.
- Is responsible for purchase orders, and any product returns and warranty claims within the territory.
- Assists with web inquiries, document library leads, and literature requests.
- Provides order status and shipment information to customers.
Reporting
- Thoroughly documents all tasks and customer interactions in CRM (Customer Relationship Management).
- Inputs, updates, and ensures accuracy of customer contact information in CRM.
- Communicates distributor/dealer needs back to International Team.
- Copy international team on important and relevant communication.
Other Essential Job Functions
- Is familiar with all Orenco-related products and technologies.
- Is familiar with local regulatory rules within assigned territory.
- Will occasionally perform additional duties of the customer service team, systems engineering team, the regional sales team, account management and asset management (especially when International team is traveling)
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
A high school diploma is required. A 2-year degree in a technical course of study and/or completion of college level coursework in biological sciences and math is a plus.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- Have strong "Can Do" attitude as a key focal inside member of the team; embrace the dynamic and fast moving International environment.
- Willingness to research, learn and find the right answers from within the vast Orenco network to assist customers and distributors.
- Ability to learn quickly and combine skills and knowledge to analyze and solve problems.
- Above average organizational skills are required.
- The ability to stay on task and follow up thoroughly on important items.
- Ability to communicate in a professional, courteous, customer service-oriented manner
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are required for frequent communication with non-native English speakers.
- Ability to successfully interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds, varying English language abilities and extreme variations in educational levels.
- Competent ability with applications such as word-processing, spreadsheets, PowerPoint and email.
- Ability to be flexible and change priorities with little notice.
- Work is to be conducted during normal manufacturing business hours, however this position will on occasion involve work outside of normal business hours to support international customers and distributors.
- Regular, consistent, and predictable attendance is required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Seeing, speaking, hearing, reading, writing, keyboarding, prolonged periods of sitting including extended time viewing a computer screen. Intermittent physical activity including standing, walking, climbing stairs, reaching, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, and occasional light lifting of under 20 lb. Occasional operation of a motor vehicle.
