Infiltrator Water Technologies is a market leader within the onsite wastewater treatment industry, Infiltrator manufactures a variety of revolutionary products and innovative, environmentally friendly alternatives to traditional stone and pipe leachfield and concrete septic wastewater system components. We sell our products through wholesale distribution across the United States and Canada for use on properties with onsite wastewater treatment systems.

GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:

This is an entry-level position that provides assistance and support for the Systems Engineering Team. The Systems Engineering Intern (SETI) provides support on commercial and municipal wastewater collection and/or treatment system projects. The SETI will interact with internal Orenco staff. The SETI helps the systems engineering team by performing a number of administrative tasks and by assisting in research projects. The SETI will also assist with creating project quotes for standard and custom products, processing project orders, creating custom project O&M manuals, submittal packages, certificate of origin documents, and simple proposals and design review letters. The SETI will provide superior customer service in all internal interactions.

Systems Engineering Support

• Supports the systems engineering team with activities related to commercial and municipal wastewater collection and/or treatment projects.
• Provides a variety of support services for commercial and municipal collection and/or treatment projects. These activities include, but aren't limited to, administrative tasks, creating project quotes for standard and custom products, processing project orders, creating custom project O&M manuals, submittal packages, certificate of origin documents, and simple proposals and design review letters.
• Assists in research projects under the guidance of other senior systems engineers.

Reporting

• Thoroughly documents all tasks and customer interactions in CRM.
• Inputs, updates, and ensures accuracy of customer contact information in CRM.

Other Essential Job Functions

• Becomes familiar with all Orenco-related products and technologies.
• Becomes familiar with state and local regulatory rules.
• Will occasionally perform additional duties of the customer service team, systems engineering team, the regional sales team and asset management.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

A high school diploma is required. Current enrollment in a college or university engineering program is required.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

• Previous experience in water/wastewater fields a plus.
• Ability to learn quickly and combine skills and knowledge to analyze and solve problems.
• Above average organizational skills are required.
• Ability to communicate in a professional, courteous, customer service-oriented manner.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Ability to successfully interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds and extreme variations in educational levels.
• Above average mathematics and algebra skills are required. College level algebra skills are preferred.
• Competent ability with applications such as word-processing, spreadsheets, and email.
• Ability to be flexible and change priorities with little notice.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Regular job duties include speaking, seeing, hearing, sitting, writing, and keyboarding. It may include unassisted lifting of 20-50lbs and occasionally up to 70lbs. Lifting over 70lbs must be assisted.
